We have had such great feedback regarding our post for volunteers for the Summer Rec Program! But many of you have had questions regarding what exactly we need when we say “Volunteers”…
At this time, we are looking for about 4 – 5 volunteers who are willing to participate on a Steering Committee so that we can move forward in hiring the Rec Coordinator and Leader positions for the summer. Parents who want to have input into what the program will be providing and looking at ideas for planning for the future would be helpful as well! The hired positions of Rec Coordinator and Rec Leaders will implement the activities and supervise the Rec Program participants on a daily basis. The Rec Coordinator Position will be paid at a rate of $15.00 per hour, and the Rec Leaders will be paid at a rate of $12.50 per hour.
Right now, we are just looking for volunteers for the committee and for planning ideas. However, we should be planning out our strategy for the summer right now! Time is running short! To make sure this program is available this summer, we need to have 4 – 5 willing volunteers to join the committee by March 20th!
