Side Lake Public Skating/Hockey Rink

The recreation complex also has a skating rink and warming building for your use. This paved 80′ x 200′ community rink is open for year-round use.

In the Winter ice is normally ready for skating before Christmas and is maintained until we get warm weather, usually in late February or early March. Open skating, “pick-up” hockey games and “organized pick-up” hockey on Thursday evenings (16 and older – all skill levels welcome) are popular events.
In the Summer, there are hockey nets and basketball hoops available on the paved surface. Rollerblading is popular here on this smooth surface.
