The Side Lake 4th of July Parade planning is underway!
The parade will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 4th. Float line-up begins at 9 a.m.
Here’s what you need to know:
The Side Lake Parade Committee is recruiting all creative and enthusiastic 4th of July lovers to join our parade with a float. The top four winners receive prizes between $200 – $400 worth of gift cards to local food and drink establishments. We welcome all ages. Walking floats are encouraged and welcome. We also encourage businesses to enter a float. Same day registration is allowed. If you wish to register in advance, registration forms are at CCC Store and Side Lake Store. Road Closures
The Fourth of July Parade will take place at 10 am on July 4. Line up begins at the intersection of Rudstrom Road and Sturgeon Road at 9 am. The parade route goes to McCarthy Beach Road then east to Highway Five. The parade route will be closed to traffic beginning at approximately 9:30 am to the end of the parade. The parade committee does not display “no parking signs.” Please respect the state park rules and homeowners along the route.
There are lots of ways to get involved!
– Enter a parade float! Complete the form below and submit by July 1st in person at the CC Campground, Side Lake Store, or email a copy to sidelakeevents@gmail.com. You can also turn them in at registration.
– Volunteer! Lots of help is needed to make this a great community event each summer. Reach out to us if you would like to lend a hand with planning, judging, parking, or traffic control.
