Ice Water Rescue Training

On Saturday, March 27, the members of our Town of French Fire and EMS Department gathered for a snowy day of Ice Water Rescue Training. They usually meet once a year out on the ice to train on water rescue techniques using equipment that the Fire Department has on hand in case of emergency. Equipment includes Mustang Rescue Suits, floating slings, blow up rescue rafts, and floating backboards, as well as a floating rescue sled.

We are grateful for these volunteers and their commitment to the Department and the community! If you see them around town, be sure to thank them for their dedication to the safety of our community!
