The results from the March 11th Township Election are as follows:
There are 470 registered voters in French Township.
There were 82 votes cast.
Supervisor Results:
Melissa Kjendle – 80 votes, Write-in vote for Dave Sorenson – 1
Treasurer Results:
Lisa Samsa – 80 votes
We are so grateful to Supervisor Julie Lucas who served our community for the past 3 years. We appreciate all the hard work she dedicated to our area!

Melissa Kjendle was sworn into office on Tuesday, March 18th as our new Supervisor. She is excited to join the Board and looks forward to serving in this new role!

From my first visit to Side Lake in 1997, I have cherished spending time in our beautiful community! In 2022 we made Side Lake our year around home. I have enjoyed helping with the Side Lake Events and look forward to serving you as a township supervisor. My previous experience includes serving on a PTO and Boys Lacrosse board as a Communication Manager. I have over 25 years of Information Technology and Project Management experience. I look forward to getting to know more of you on this adventure!”
