A Reminder from the Fire Chief...

Fall is definitely here, and that means it’s time to hunker down by the fireplace and crank up the heat! We would like to remind you to make sure to check your chimneys and make sure they are clean and free of debris. Chimney fires are the most common source of household fires in the wintertime. Stay safe, and keep those chimneys clean!

If you would like more information on how you can become a member of our volunteer department, contact our Fire Chief, PJ Bjur at 218-969-3323 or our EMS Coordinator, Liz Smith, at 218-969-6305.

COMMUNITY RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
At this time the Town of French is engaged by facilitating communication and sharing of information within the community of Side Lake.

The Side Lake Rec Center Buildings are open with some restrictions for public activities until further notice.

The Town Board will continue to monitor the situation and if a more active role is warranted, will take necessary steps to provide an appropriate pro-active response. We encourage community members to practice social distancing, watch out for neighbors, support our local businesses and consider coordinating supply runs to town.
