Internet Survey
NEED BETTER INTERNET SERVICE?
The Town of French, in collaboration with Iron Range Broadband Communities, supported by a grant from the Blandin Foundation and the IRRRB, is conducting a feasibility study and would like to know about your internet connectivity!

If you live or have a cabin in Side Lake, please fill out this survey so we can identify the places where people lack the broadband services they need. By pinpointing clusters where rural residents have a strong desire for broadband, we will be better positioned to attract partners to invest in infrastructure.

Your voice matters!

The deadline for filling this out is August 31, 2017.

They have a facebook group set up here as well: Facebook group link They are also asking for people to write letter to help justify the need for the grant to help expand the service in our area. The letters should be sent via e-mail to grantapp@paulbunyan.net or via US Mail to:

Paul Bunyan Communications
Attn: Steve Howard
1831 Anne St NW
Bemidji, MN 56601

A letter should indicate what benefits true high speed internet would bring, especially things that improve the economic vitality of the region. This might include business use, telecommuting/work from home, online training, research, etc. You could also include the detrimental effects of not having quality internet in the area. Letters of support don't need to be fancy or overly long.
