2016 Children’s Summer Youth Rec Program starts Monday, June 6!

New this year! Outdoor Adventure Program!
Range Engineering Council has partnered with the Side Lake Rec Program to provide a summer outdoor adventure series focusing on learning about the wild world around us including outdoor safety. Every other Friday starting June 10th, children from both rec groups (ages 4-14) will be invited to the rec center to take part in the Outdoor Adventure program sponsored by the Northland Foundation (walk-in’s are welcome – $3 per child per day). On alternating Sundays, starting June 19th, a free guided hike open to the community will be hosted by John Latimer at McCarthy’s Beach State Park. John is a local phenology expert, passionate teacher and you are guaranteed to walk away with a better appreciation of our natural landscape and the creatures living with us!
